In this case all you have to do is take consecutive numbers being added together (or two numbers next to each other like 2+6 or 18+54) and divide the number in front by the number behind it so in this case it would be 6/2=3 or 54=18 which is 3. Notice how 3 reaapears, thats N, the constant number that is multiplied by 2 to get 6, by 6 to get 18, by 18 to get 54 etc.......
