You can find the area of that triangle with A = ab (Sin C)/2
Subtract out the area of the included wedge of a circle
Double the result to include the mirror image

you'll have to figure out the tangent line so you can find the length of the other leg of the triangle to do it that way. probably there are a number of approaches you can use here
