OpenStudy (anonymous):

Okay, so im reviewing an old quiz and this is one of the problems on it that i got right but idk how i got it right

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i know you have to find the sector area first

OpenStudy (phi):

if that is a 90 deg angle, you can find the area of the sector = 1/4 of the entire circle you can also find the area of the triangle area of the shaded region is sector - triangle

OpenStudy (anonymous):

90/360*10^2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

right?

OpenStudy (phi):

times pi area of a circle = pi * r^2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ohh okay

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i got it now thanks

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the answer is 28.5

OpenStudy (jhannybean):

\[\large s=\left(\frac{n}{360}\right) \cdot \pi r^2\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay!

OpenStudy (jhannybean):

And n is the angle measurement

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Thanks guys!
