Does anyone know how beliefs of confirmation bias can generate their own confirmations?

OpenStudy (unklerhaukus):

Say, i believe i can always find a coin on the ground, i look around for a coin on the street until i find one, this supports my belief that i can always find a coin. Say, i believe i cannot find a coin on the ground, i might walk along the street, but i dont see any coins. This supports my belief that i could not find a coin.
