find the exact value. y=sininverse (-1)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Sininverse(1) is 90 So Sininverse(-1) is 180 :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thanks but how do u know 1 is 90 degrees though?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so its pie/2 in radians and 90 degrees

OpenStudy (anonymous):

?

It has been calculated using the Sine formula itself. You see, Sine(A)=Opposite Side/Hypotenuse. So in a right triangle, if we have to calculate Sine of 90 degrees, then the side opposite to the angle will be in the numerator place and hypotenuse in the denominator. Now the length of opposite side and hypotenuse is same as they are same itself. So the ratio is 1. Hence Sine 90=1 Now if graph of sine is plotted, we can see that sine (pie=180)=-1 :)

ok thanks
