If f(x) = 3x + 9 g(x) = 5 x^2. Find (f + g)(x)

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

(f + g)(x) is the same as f(x) + g(x)

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

so what do you get when you add the two functions?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh ha I get it now. Just couldn't figure out the position. (3x+9) + (5x^2)=5x^2+3x+9

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

good

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thanks

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):
