wave formula?

OpenStudy (turingtest):

in what form? a traveling wave can be given by\[y=A\sin(\frac{2\pi}\lambda x-\omega t)\]where \(A\) is the amplitude, \(\lambda\) is the wavelength, and \(\omega=\frac{2\pi}T\) is the angular speed, and \(T\) is the period of one revolution.

OpenStudy (turingtest):

in general, the one-dimensional wave equation is given by a partial differential equation\[\frac{\partial^2}{\partial x^2}\Psi(x,t)=\frac1{v^2}\frac{\partial}{\partial t}\Psi(x,t)\]
