particles of mass 2m and m are fixed at the extreme ends of a light string of length l. find the center of mass and the moment of inertia of the system of particles from the lighter particle.

guess you know how to find the center of mass. The moment of inertia of lighter particle around itself would be zero. Find the moment of inertia of the heavier particle around the perpendicular axis going through the lighter particle and that will be your answer
