In triangle ABC, a= 8, B= 60°, and c = 5. Which formula would you use the find the area?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Try using Heron's formula.

If you're not sure what that is, look here. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Heron's_formula

OpenStudy (anonymous):

a) area = ½ ac sin B b) area = ½ ab sin C c) area = ½ bc sin A d) none of these

@amistre64 can you help me with this... I'm struggling... lol It's been a while since I've gone over this.

OpenStudy (amistre64):

Herons formula is best suited for triangle whose sides are only known. otherwise its simpler to use a sin version
