A car rental company charges 35 dollars a day plus 25 cents a mile to rent a car. What would be the cost to rent a car for one day and drive it 300 miles?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

It would cost 110 dollars. you need to multiply 300 by .25 and thats 75 dollars and then you add 75 and 35 together and get 110

If you rent a car for one day and drive it for 50 miles, the cost is $25.00. If you drive it 275 miles, the cost is $137.50. Use the linear function to find out how much you will pay to rent the car for one day if you drive it 300 miles.
