What is the reflection of point P(-1, 6) across the line y = x?

OpenStudy (jdoe0001):

what do you think?

OpenStudy (jhannybean):

If it's reflected across the y axis, we know there are positive and negative x values on either side of the y axis, so if we took a mirror image of that point (-1,6) and flipped it over , what would change with the x-value?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

(6,-1) Right?

OpenStudy (jhannybean):

You'd be flipping it twice if that were the case. If you had (6, -1) |dw:1372104206150:dw|

OpenStudy (jdoe0001):

haemm heeh

OpenStudy (jdoe0001):

it's (6, -1) :)

OpenStudy (jhannybean):

Hahahaa sorry, i overlooked the part that said "across y=x"

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Alright, That's what I thought.. ._.
