OpenStudy (anonymous):

I multiply everything in the parentheses by 2... I maybe wrong? @ivettef365

OpenStudy (ivettef365):

ok you have 4a x 2 = ???

OpenStudy (ivettef365):

what is 4 x 2

OpenStudy (uri):

You are wrong,I think (a +b)2 =a^2 +2ab +b^2 will be used.

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

If you are multiplying the 4a+5 with the 2, then (4a + 5)2 4a*2 + 5*2 8a + 10

OpenStudy (ivettef365):

she is right, but is not 6a, should be 8a

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Hahaha omg.. I meant to put 8a.. Sorry mates

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

if you are squaring (4a+5), then (4a + 5)^2 (4a + 5)(4a + 5) 4a(4a + 5) + 5(4a + 5) 4a*4a + 4a*5 + 5*4a + 5*5 16a^2 + 20a + 20a + 25 16a^2 + 40a + 25
