just need work cheek will have pic and work below solve for x y and z

OpenStudy (anonymous):

|dw:1372110884112:dw| 180-120=60 60=x 180-120-39=30 30=y 120-30=90 90=z

OpenStudy (mathstudent55):

This cannot be. An equilateral triangle is also equiangular with all angles measuring 60 deg. You can't have one angle of 30 deg. |dw:1372107347556:dw|

OpenStudy (anonymous):

my pic isn't drawn right

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it sould be|dw:1372111280164:dw|

OpenStudy (mathstudent55):

The 30-deg angle is correct? |dw:1372107568029:dw|

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes

OpenStudy (mathstudent55):

How did you get your fiirst equation: 180 - 120 = 60, so x = 60?

OpenStudy (mathstudent55):

Your values for x, y, and z are all correct. I'm just curious as to how you got them.

OpenStudy (jhannybean):

same.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I think someone walked me threw the process now im just double cheeking

OpenStudy (mathstudent55):

Here's how I'd do it. Look at the triangle on the right side. All sides are congruent, so all angles are congruent. That means each angle is 60 deg. That gives you x = 60.

OpenStudy (jdoe0001):

well, I have to many cavities, though I brush my teeth and took a shower recently, though I don't think I wouldn't "double-cheek" with anyone

OpenStudy (mathstudent55):

Now look at the left triangle. Since two sides are congruent, opposite angles are congruent. That gives you y = 30.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@jdoe0001 WTF?

OpenStudy (mathstudent55):

|dw:1372108106090:dw| Then for z, I'd do 180 - 60 - 30 = 90, so z = 90.
