I know how to solve it...but my answer can be factored. So, is my answer the factored one, or the one that isn't factored ? I know it is a stupid question, but I really need to know.

First, the answer is obvious for multiple choice

Second,  standard form  has the answer multiplied out
so that would be the usual answer.

64x^2 - 32x + 32x -16
64x^2 - 16 or 8(8x^2 - 2)

That's almost like asking if you have (9 + 3)(9 - 3) is the answer 12(9 - 3) or 12(6) or 72. The answer is obviously the most simplified form.
