400g= oz.

OpenStudy (jhannybean):

How many grams = 1 ounce? Hm..

OpenStudy (anonymous):

28.3495

OpenStudy (jhannybean):

alright. One min.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

It would be 14.1096.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ounces ^

OpenStudy (anonymous):

how would you get that. It doesn't help me unless you explain why

OpenStudy (jhannybean):

1 g = 0.035274 oz.. 400 g = 400(0.035274 oz)

OpenStudy (jhannybean):

There you go.

hero (hero):

I could have sworn someone posted this exact same question yesterday

OpenStudy (anonymous):

400 grams * 0.0353 ounces/1 gram = ^

OpenStudy (jhannybean):

Doog boj nitsuAyoBaY!

OpenStudy (dan815):

is Oz the town from wizard of OZ

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I posted it yesterday but no one tells me how to convert it. is that just the answer or is there some work to get that answer?

OpenStudy (dan815):

okay this is what you must do

OpenStudy (anonymous):

What is does that mean? :/ @Jhannybean

OpenStudy (dan815):

1 gram = 28.349492544 Oz

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok

OpenStudy (dan815):

no i mean 1oz = 28.349492544 grams

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok

OpenStudy (dan815):

okay so how many oz is 400 grams

OpenStudy (anonymous):

400 grams (times) 0.0353 oz (divided by) 1 gram = Your Anwser.

OpenStudy (dan815):

every 28.35 grams is 1 oz so how many of these 28.35s are there in 400 grams to give u some oz

OpenStudy (dan815):

400/28.35 = X oz

OpenStudy (anonymous):

14.1093474427?

hero (hero):

OpenStudy (jhannybean):

Okay? I posted a link up there too, @Hero .-_- http://www.sketchtoy.com/41291589 <_<

OpenStudy (jhannybean):

@GodBlessYou you're trying to change from grams TO ounces, and in order todo so you have to change the units, that's what i'm showing. you have to set up an equal ratio so that your units TURN from grams to ounces (oz). And as the units change from grams to ounces, you're multiplying how many grams you have to it's conversion rate, which is 1 gram = 0.035724 oz.

OpenStudy (jhannybean):

it's the same thing as saying if you have 1 dollar = 4 quarters... how many quarters make up 2 dollars?

hero (hero):

x quarter = 2 dollar x quarter = 2(4 quarter) x quarter = 8 quarter x = 8

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

\(2 \text{dollars} \times \frac{4 \text{quarters}}{1 \text{dollar}}\)

OpenStudy (jhannybean):

do you understand, @GodBlessYou ?

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

seems cancel wont work when u have text :\

hero (hero):

It works

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

fail again :(

hero (hero):

\[2 \cancel{\text{dollars}} \times \frac{4 \text{quarters}}{1 \cancel{\text{dollars}}}\]

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

wow ! you pulled the cancel out of text nice :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok kind of. Thank you.
