in lec 6 2D kinematics the golf ball whose aim is to shot the monkey goes off in an arc whereas it does not happen with actual bullets why? because gravitational acceleration is independent of mass

OpenStudy (waynex):

Bullets do travel in an arc. Suppose a bullet travels \[400\frac{m}{s},\] one second after the bullet is fired, it will only have obtained a downward speed of \[9.81\frac{m}{s}.\] So the bullet is going to go a long ways before dropping to the ground. Incidentally, if you held that same bullet in your hand, and let it drop straight down, it will fall to the ground in the same amount of time that the bullet fire from the gun will.
