OpenStudy (anonymous):

y = 2x 3x + 2y = 21

OpenStudy (anonymous):

substitute 2x to the y at the second equation. 3x+2(2x)=21 3x+4x=21 7x=21 x=3 then to get y, substitute 3 to y=3x. y=3(3) then y=9

OpenStudy (nirmalnema):

@spiritdesire y= 2x therefor y = 6 not 9

OpenStudy (anonymous):

looks like I really need to change my eyeglasses

OpenStudy (anonymous):

y=2x, so y=2(3), you get 6
