In your own words, explain the role of scientific investigation in the development of the Theory of Evolution.

Darwin, Wallace and others working sometimes independently and sometimes in collaboration, 1 Asked a question "What is the origin of species?" They investigated this by observing the distribution of species, and over many years developed a theory which they proposed could explain the range and diversity of species, in a natural way. This theory has been examined by other scientists who raised various objections, however no serious flaw has yet been discovered. This is the process of science. However the development of evolution is a rather untypical example. The discovery of the carbon cycle is better, for example. But for some reason not examined.
