Complete the height function: A missile is launched from the ground. It's height, h(x), can be represented by a quadratic function in terms of time, x, in seconds. After 1 second, the missile is 112 feet in the air; after 2 seconds, it is 208 feet in the air. h(x)=?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[h(t) = \frac{1}{2} a_o t^2 +v_o t + h_o\] where ao is the initial acceleration vo is the initial velocity ho is the initial height since its starting from the ground, ho = 0 so you're just solving for ao and vo since you have 2 points, you can plug them in and then you have a system of 2 equations with 2 unknowns which you should be able to easily solve
