[5.05] Which of the following ordered pairs is a solution to the inequality y −2x + 8? (0, −4) (5, −1) (7, 0) (9, 1)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

(0,-4) is an ordered pair. 0 is the x value and -4 is the y value. Replace the x in the inequality with the 0 value and the y with the -4 value. Look at the inequality that is now just numbers. If it is true, (0,-4) is a solution, if the inequality is not true (0,-4) is not a solution. REPEAT WITH NEXT ORDERED PAIR
