How does the 22nd amendment affect the U.S.?
What the twenty-second amendment basically say is it limits the president to only two 4 year terms in office. So no president can have more than 2 terms.


Why did the 22nd amendment existed?
Well Franklin D Roosevelt had 4 terms before the 22nd amendment existed. After he died, many people recognize that having a president serve more than eight years was bad for the country. (It would make FDR look like a dictator)
