A bag has 4 green marbles, 3 red marbles, and 3 yellow marbles. What is the probability that you pick a red marble, do not replace it, and pick a green marble?

OpenStudy (whpalmer4):

What's the probability that you pick a red marble for your first pick?

OpenStudy (whpalmer4):

Well, when you figure it out, let's call that number \(P_r\). Having taken out 1 red marble, what is the probability that you pick a green marble from the remaining 9 marbles? Call that \(P_g\). The probability of picking red, then green in this fashion will be \(P = P_r*P_g\)
