find f(g(x)) if f(x)=2x g(x)=-4x+3

OpenStudy (jhannybean):

See, g(x) = x so i we take f(x) and replace all the x'values in f(x) with the function g(x), we would get f(x) = 2(-4x +3) can you simplify this and tell me what you geT? :)

OpenStudy (rmrjr22):

\[2x(-4x+3) = answer\]

OpenStudy (rmrjr22):

ah! take out the first x

OpenStudy (jhannybean):

No, you're replacing the x-values in f(x) @rmrjr22

OpenStudy (rmrjr22):

yes i caught my mistake... fast typing.. = errors

OpenStudy (jhannybean):

f(x) = (2)( - 4x) + (3)(2) = ?

OpenStudy (rmrjr22):

all she wants is answers btw... no rewards...
