Can anyone tell me the cube root of -125?

OpenStudy (joel_atkins):

Cube root of -125 is -5.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

It is not a fraction?

OpenStudy (joel_atkins):

Doesn't seem to be, I used a calculator for it, there were no extra dots or anything.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

How did you find the answer?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I just checked and you are right. How did you calculate it, my calculator kept saying error!

OpenStudy (rmrjr22):

-125^(1/3) = -5

Thank you! Here is your medal. P.S. Joel you received a medal too!

OpenStudy (joel_atkins):

Thanks mate, I think for cubes if you forget the formula, you can use the google calculator, type in something like: "'cube root of #"

OpenStudy (rmrjr22):

u can just type in ur calculator what i wrote

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I did thank you so much!

OpenStudy (joel_atkins):

@rmrjr22 Yes, but I was mentioning for the future if he forgets the formula you posted, a google search also works just as effectively.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Cool, I did not know that Google had a calculator! So the # symbol can be used for the cube symbol?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

How would I write the square root of 64z^4 in the calculator?
