Summer said that it didn't matter which side of a right triangle were a,b,c. is that correct?

OpenStudy (ivettef365):

it does matter,

OpenStudy (anonymous):

what should i put?

OpenStudy (ivettef365):

that is a question that is not to clear. A right triangle could have different length in sides, could be 3,4,5 measurements, where the 5 is the hypothenus and let say a=3, b=4, and c=5, so c have to be the hyp, so it does matter

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok so C is always the longest side right?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes generally c is considered the longest side it is also known as the hypothenuse

OpenStudy (anonymous):

alright thanks
