find the expression that represents the lengths of the hypotenuse of a right triangle whose leg mesaure 2xsqaure - Ysqaure and 2xy?

Did you use the Pythagorean theorem?

OpenStudy (calculusxy):

Well the Pythagorean theorem is to find the length of one missing side. Also a right triangle is an isosceles triangle since it has already two equal sides even without the same angle measurement. So what you do is that you have to remember the formula of a^2+b^2=c^2. So once you get your c^2, you find the square root of c^2. Then the answer to the square root is the missing length.
