I wonder why I'm not getting email notifications anymore. OS just stopped sending notifications about 2 weeks ago. Anyone else experiencing the same?

I have to say, I am experiencing the same thing. My only guess is that whatever happened a few months ago when OS's server was down, affected email notifications. Hopefully that gets resolved soon because I really loved it.

It happened before, but just for 1 day. And the next day my mailbox was flooded with about 200 notifications. I hope this won't happen when this problem is fixed. That would be more than a 1000 notifications.

yeah, not receiving any mails at all, and i am almost sure that when this gets resolved, all our inboxes will be flooded with their emails, especially of mods with hundreds of reports/warnings/suspensions......:O

Hello,

I've explained this many times before and certainty don't mind explaining it again.
You see - the OpenStudy servers reset a lot (if you haven't noticed). And, the site goes down for maintenance at least once every other week.When this happens, the servers are offline, and the emails cannot properly 'send' and receive. Since OpenStudy doesn't have servers widely distributed like Facebook or MySpace, it goes offline, and the mail gets 'clogged' in the server. The server then has to re-sort and re-send all the mail. This can take up to a day, week, month, year?

This problem will continue to occur until OpenStudy is in possession of more funds so they can buy more servers and expand! :)So click those ads and donate!
