how many numbers are between 1 and 2? how would you classify the numbers?

OpenStudy (goldphenoix):

There's an infinite amount of numbers between 1 and 2.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

this seems like a very open ended question

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i would say almost all of them are irrational

OpenStudy (goldphenoix):

I would classify the numbers between 1 and 2 as "real number". Since the definition of a real number is: "All numbers on the number line. This includes (but is not limited to) positives and negatives, integers and rational numbers, square roots, cube roots , π (pi), etc."

OpenStudy (zzr0ck3r):

give me any two irrationals and ill give you a rational between them, and vice versa. so why more irrationals? @satellite73

OpenStudy (zzr0ck3r):

not that I know....just wondering.
