get like terms to one side and constant to other ...... give ans

When you want to solve an equation like this, you have to make the terms that contain x in side and the constant terms (that contain no x) in the other side, and when you transport a term to the an other side you change the sign ! The equation is : \[3x-24=2x+1\] You have transform the 2x to the left side and transform -24 to the other side : \[3x\color{red}{-2x}=1\color{blue}{+24}\] So : \[x=25\] It is very simple !
