Perhaps if you had an actual example. Why are you being cagey about it?

Rule 1) Keep things real.

Example: If you are cutting corners to form a box, you have to cut more than zero but less than 1/2 the smaller dimension.

Rule 2) Let the notation and the methods save you.

If you MUST have a drawing, you never will survive higher dimensions.
