Does anyone know statistics?? HELP PLEASE Find the experimental probability of getting the letter e when a letter is drawn at random from this text: In English, the letter e appears most frequently among alphabetical characters. In these lines, it appears eighteen times. Note: Exclude spaces and punctuation marks from your analysis. A. 10.00% B. 15.35% C. 17.82% D. 18.20% E. 20.00%
how many letters are there altogether?
18
now, there are 18 es in that stuff, how many letters did they actually print entotal?
In: 2 English: 7 the: 3 letter: 6 e: 1 appears: 7 most: 4 frequently: 10 among: 5 alpha: 5 betical: 7 characters: 10 Intheselines: 12 itapp: 5 ears: 4 eight: 5 eent: 4 imes: 4
How do you come up with that? I'm not sure that I follow. Which answer would that be?
well, when we "Exclude spaces and punctuation marks from your analysis"; and just count the total number of letters .... i broke it down into smaller peices that we can add up
Like, you don't have to teach me it haha sorry!
\[probability=\frac{number~of~success}{number~of~trials}\] \[P(e)=\frac{18}{number~of~letters}\]
Oh, okay but I'm not sure how to add that all up or whatever it takes to get a percentage out of it. I'm taking a test on Statistics that I haven't learned.
if you havent learned it, then yes, you need to be taught the proper concepts .... we are not providing a free answering service here :/
Well, I'm not in a Statistics class, this test is for Algebra 2 but the school board is testing out this new system for people who haven't even taken real Statistic courses
