Can anyone tell me if C is the correct answer?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (whpalmer4):

Yes, I can tell you. Did you want me to? :-)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Is it correct?

OpenStudy (whpalmer4):

If one line has the slope 3/8, and the other has the slope -8/3, the product of the slopes is (3/8) * (-8/3) = -24/24 = -1. That's what we want!

OpenStudy (whpalmer4):

perpendicular lines have a product of slopes = -1, unless one of them is parallel to the y-axis (x = constant) , in which case its perpendicular will be parallel to the x-axis (y = constant)

Thanks a loooot :D
