well generate a table of values for each line y = x + 5 x: 0 : 1 : 2 y: 5 ; 6 : 7 plot the ordered pairs (0, 5), (1, 6) and (2, 7) draw a long line passing through all 3 points. similar for the other line y = -5x - 1 x: 0 : 1 : 2 y: -1 -6 : -11 plot the ordered pairs (0, -1) (1, -6) and (2, -11) draw the long line the solution is the point where the 2 lines intersect
