2x + 5y = −3 −15x − 5y = −10 What method do you use to solve this and why? also can you explain step by step on how to solve the problem?

This is set up perfectly for the elimination method. Just add the 2 left sides to get a new left side and the 2 right sides to get a new right side.. You will then have one equation in one unknown, "x".

Second step, simplify that new equation and solve for "x". Third step, plug that value for "x" back into either equation and solve for "y". And then you're done!
