Solve 7x - 2y = -3 14x + y = 14

OpenStudy (bahrom7893):

Solve for y in the second equation. What do you get?

OpenStudy (rmrjr22):

you could go about this in two ways... either multiply top equation by -2 to cancel out the x variable or just set the second equation = to y. Then substitute the top y with the resulted y from the second equation. from there you can find x.
