4(x+10)-6=-3(x-2)
find x?
Nope just solving the equation
ok so lets just factor it out, you know how to do that?
-4x-46-6=-3x+6 -4x-52=-3x+6 I need help from here
watch ur signs
4x +40 - 6 =? *******
Nope the 4 in the front is supposed to have a negative sign in front of it. REALLY SORRY!!!
ok now combine from other side
make sure to leave x all by itself
It's just in the end I get the x being positive but the number being negative.
SO what do I do?
Bye I just got the answer from my dad. Thanks so Much
x = -52
distribute the 4 and the -3 to the stuff in parenthesis on both sides of the equation -4(x) -4(10) -6 = -3(x) -3(-2) Simplify. -4x -40 -6 = -3x +6 Move all your x's to one side. this means adding 3x to both sides -4x + 3x - 40 - 6 =-3x + 3x + 6 Simplify -x - 46 = + 6 isolate the x on one side and your constants on the other. You can do this by adding +46 to both sides. -x - 46 + 46 = +6 + 46 Simplify -x = +52 divide both sides by -1 -x/-1 =52/-1 Simplify x = - 52
