What is the equation of a vertical line passing through the point (–5, –1)? y = –5 y = –1 x = –5 x = –1

OpenStudy (lopezking1):

C lol

OpenStudy (mathlegend):

@lopezking1 why is it C?

OpenStudy (mathlegend):

As a community we do not like to see individuals just out answers. So, please, do not do that again. @lopezking1

OpenStudy (lopezking1):

If it has an undefined slope, it means it is a straight vertical line. This is because the equation for slope is m=rise/run. Undefined means that you divided by zero, or that the run is zero. The line has no change in x.

OpenStudy (mathlegend):

@lopezking1 good, that would be more beneficial then your first post. Do you understand? We are called OpenStudy not OpenAnswers. :D

OpenStudy (lopezking1):

Okay :( i sorry
