Solve the system of equations x = –6y + 2 and 1/2x - y = 1. What is the y-coordinate of the solution? A. -2/3 B. 0 C. -1/4 D. 1/4
Can anybody please help?
for the first equation x =.y-.........( just sample, not the answer from yours) for the second one, isolate x =.y+.......(just sample, not the answer from yours) let 2 RHSs of those equal. I mean y -...= y +....solve for y . that y is the solution of your problem
Sorry I don't understand...

I guide you how to find the answer. Follow it and find out the answer by yourself. You CAN do it. I believe in you
Quite a few ways to approach this question. Elimination, Comparison, Substitution... these words sound familiar? If yes, which one appeals to you?
Does y equal 0?
