4, 16, 7, 10, 15, 11, 13, 20 what is the median

OpenStudy (ivettef365):

the median is the number right in the middle ??

OpenStudy (anonymous):

when its in order from least to greatest yes

OpenStudy (anonymous):

You must arrange the numbers in order of largest to smallest, then find the number in the middle. In this instance, 11 and 13 are both in the middle, so you must find the average of those, which is (11+13)/2, which is 12.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Smallest to largest also works too

OpenStudy (jack1):

4, 16, 7, 10, 15, 11, 13, 20 4, 7, 10, 11, 13, 15, 16, 20

instead of answering a question by "doing all the work", we would perfer that the asker gets their hands dirty and participate in the solution process while being guided along the way. other than that, great job :)

Sorry, I'm new here, I wasn't aware of that. Thanks for the tip.
