what is the direction of null vector

OpenStudy (anonymous):

It doesn't have a direction.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

A null vector has no direction . It signifies the nullification of equal vectors

OpenStudy (anonymous):

If it has no direction can it still be refered to as a vector?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yep bcoz when we add or sub. vector we get the resultant as a vector so may b in that sense it is. There is still some ambiguity

OpenStudy (anonymous):

If it has no direction and only magnitude (=0) it is a scalar. In fact isn't a null vector both perpendicular and parallel to any vector and thus have any direction?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Vector doesnt have a direction

OpenStudy (anonymous):

A vector must have direction or else it is not a vector. Its a technicality, I know. The direction is not defined.
