What can be determined from the frequency and wavelength of a wave?

OpenStudy (chmvijay):

energy of the wave and also its region in electromagnetic spectrum :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

as chmvijay said ,we can find energy as by planck's formula E=hf and also wave number which determine in which region wave is present.wave no.+1/wavelenth.regions are visible, ultraviolet, infrared

and also its velocity.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Velocity; \[c =f \times \lambda \] c=velocity f= frequency \[\lambda = wavelength\]
