here's the picture i forgot sorry

OpenStudy (ivettef365):

use Pythagorean theorem, you have right triangle, find hyp which is segment PQ

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I used the Pythagorean theorem and i still didn't seem to the right answer @ivettef365

OpenStudy (ivettef365):

ok you have one side = (from 6 to 10) = 4 the other side = 12 so you have 4^2 + 12^2 = c^2 solve for c

OpenStudy (ivettef365):

what do you get ??

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Oh i see, i made a calculator error. I forgot to square it after i added 16+144 :)

OpenStudy (ivettef365):

right

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@ivettef365 The final answer would be 12.65

OpenStudy (ivettef365):

yes, that is what I got

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Thank you!! :) @ivettef365
