well, number of oscillations per time is a definition that relates to speed; or in the old days it could relate to what channel you were listening to on one of them fancy new FM radios. but then: number of oscilation/time is analogous to number of wavelengths/time since a wave length defines one complete oscillation but im prolly reading to much into this
