I need help I'm uber confused. What is the slope of the line passing through the point (4, −2) and perpendicular to the line y = 4x + 2? Write your answer as a fraction.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the slope is -1/4 because if the line is perpendicular then you find the negative reciprocal . The equation of the line would be y = -1/4x -1
