Why did many Italians support Mussolini during The Great Depression?
@nincompoop
try infrastructure and modernization of healthcare
i think it was because the burden of taxes in France fell primarily on the Third Estate but i know for sure it wasnt because King Louis XVI refused to share tax revenue with nobles
or maybe because france did not have a middle class it could also be because the First and Second Estates were less wealthy than the Third Estate... idk
read more about the great depression and how countries dealt with it
any ideas @lopezking1
Most Italians were indifferent to Mussolini and fascism. Italy's alliance with Germany and its entry into the Second World War wasn't very popular either. when the Italian king overthrew Mussolini and surrendered to the allies, Hitler reinforced German units in Italy and began rounding up Italian soldiers in Greece and the Balkans. on the Greek island of cephalonia, Italian and German forces clashed and resulted in the systematic massacre of 5,000 Italian POWs by German forces. Additionally, after Italy's surrender, many resistance groups emerged and the Italian fought very hard against their German occupiers. it became clear that the Italians were not in support of Mussolini and truly opposed fascism.
Thank You
:)

no you are not allowed to give answer, but you did it anyway. it is why I provided the keywords and didn't ramble about facts that had nothing to do with the question.
