What is the slope of a line that passes through the point (−2, 3) and is parallel to a line that passes through (3, 7) and (−2, −8)?

OpenStudy (jdoe0001):

parallel lines have the same slope, find the slope for the 2nd line, and you'd get the slope for the 1st one, because is the same exact one anyway :)

OpenStudy (jdoe0001):

(3, 7) and (−2, −8) slope "m" is \(\large m=\frac{y_2-y_1}{x_2-x_1} \)
