OpenStudy (jdoe0001):

the chart shows the "trend" from quarters 1, 2, 3, 4 see how it's moving at what point would you expect the y-axis, once the x-axis gets to "6"? that is the 6 quarter

OpenStudy (jdoe0001):

well, look at the line

OpenStudy (jdoe0001):

when x = 1, y =10 lemme make a quick table

OpenStudy (jdoe0001):

$$ \begin{matrix} x & & y \\ \hline 1 & & 10 \\ 2 & & 25 \\ 3 & & 30 \\ 4 & & 40 \\ 5 & & \square? \\ 6 & & \square? \\ \end{matrix} $$

OpenStudy (jdoe0001):

so, when x = 6, that is in the 6th quarter for the firm company in business what would y = ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Is it 60?

OpenStudy (jdoe0001):

60 is a good assessment the line is moving that way, so, it could also be 55, but 60 is just as good so that means in the 6th quarter [ 3 months per quarter, 12 months per year, so 6 quarters = 18months] the company business revenue may increase to $60,000
