ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

expand and compare coefficients left side and right side

OpenStudy (anonymous):

2w^2-aw+6w-3a=bw^2-w+3c 2w^2+w(-a+6)-3a

OpenStudy (anonymous):

-2 ans hai

OpenStudy (anonymous):

2w^2-aw+6w-3a=bw^2-w+3c 2w^2-bw^2-aw+6w=w-3a+3c w^2(2-b)-w(a+5)-3(a+c) i am getting this after expansion??

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

keep left side and right side separately

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

2w^2-aw+6w-3a=bw^2-w+3c

OpenStudy (anonymous):

seperately karooo

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

write left side as a quadratic in w

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok wait!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok ok i got this ! thanks guys! :)

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

np

OpenStudy (anonymous):

solution post karo :p

OpenStudy (anonymous):

agaya na woi kafi hai :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

aray mujhay dekhna tha mainay jo solve kia tha its all jumbled up :p

OpenStudy (anonymous):

2w^2-wa+6w-3a=bw^2-w+3c 2w^2-w(a-6)-3a=bw^2-w+3c now compare the terms b=2, a=6+1, c=a ab agaya?

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

everything correct, except one thing

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

im getting c= -a

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yup :p

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@ganeshie8 oh yeah my bad! :P

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

:) if we get c=a, then we wont be able to find a-b+c

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

cuz, c sticks in the expression

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

for clarity. herez the full work :- 2w^2 + 6w - wa - 3a = bw^2 -w + 3c 2w^2 + (6-a)w - 3a = bw^2 - w + 3c compare coefficients of w^2, w and constant terms b = 2 6-a = -1 a = 7 3c = -3a c = -a a-b+c = a-b-a = -b = -2
