Nicolaus Copernicus proved the fact that the Sun was at the centre of the solar system, rather having the Earth. This was the heliocentric modele.
OpenStudy (calculusxy):
And this theory is proven massively because since the Sun is at the centre of the solar system, the closer the planets, the warmer it is.
