** Word Question Help :c Jared is on a new exercise regimen. To begin, his trainer does not want him to complete more than a total of 17 lunges and sit-ups. For every lunge that he completes, Jacob burns 30 calories. He burns an additional 20 calories for every sit-up. His goal is to burn at least 420 calories during a workout session. Which is a combination of lunges and sit-ups that Jacob can complete in a session? 11 lunges and 5 sit-ups 12 lunges and 6 sit-ups 9 lunges and 7 sit-ups 10 lunges and 4 sit-ups

OpenStudy (whpalmer4):

Okay, he can't do more than 17 lunges and situps. Go through the list and strike any possibility that have more than 17 exercises. For the rest of the list, make a table showing how many calories are burned. Eliminate the ones that don't produce at least 420 calories. Hopefully, you'll have exactly one choice left.

OpenStudy (whpalmer4):

calories burned = 30L + 20S if L is number of lunges and S is number of situps

30(10)+20(4)=380 <---- @whpalmer4
